Ship Managers, big or small, are important part and parcel of the maritime industry. Pursuant to their own agreement with the ship owners, they take on various responsibilities and can be liable in negligence to ship owners under those agreements and can also be liable to regulatory bodies and other parties while carrying out their obligations on behalf of the ship owners.
