Congested ports in Asia and increasing traffic of large container ships around Africa are also a cause for concern.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cargo-related fires on board container ships have long been a hot topic in the industry \u2013 and rightly so: In 2023, we saw on average one container cargo fire every 9 days, according to statistics from Cargo Incident Notification System (CINS). This is an increase compared with 2020, when the number was approximately one container fire every two weeks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the first few months of 2024, things were looking more promising, though. Up until May 2024, we did not experience any large-scale or high severity fires for a relatively long time. Then, on May 26 the container ship Northern Juvenile caught fire outside Singapore. On 19 July the Maersk Frankfurt caught fire off the west coast of India, a casualty that tragically cost a seafarer\u2019s life. And just last week, the container ship YM Mobility suffered severe explosions and fire onboard while it was docked in Ningbo, China.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Why are container ship fires seemingly on the rise again \u2013 and what can be done to reverse the trend?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please see attached file for details.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"color: #003366; font-size: 18.6667px;\">\u8b66\u60d5\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8239\u8d77\u706b\u4e8b\u4ef6\u9891\u53d1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u5728\u7ecf\u5386\u4e86\u4e00\u6bb5\u770b\u4f3c \u201c\u5e73\u9759 \u201d\u7684\u65f6\u671f\u540e\uff0c\u6700\u8fd1\u53c8\u53d1\u751f\u4e86\u51e0\u8d77\u4e25\u91cd\u7684\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8239\u8d77\u706b\u4e8b\u4ef6\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u4e00\u8d77\u5bfc\u81f4\u4e86\u4eba\u5458\u6b7b\u4ea1\u7684\u4e25\u91cd\u4e8b\u6545\u3002\u4e9a\u6d32\u62e5\u6324\u7684\u6e2f\u53e3\u548c\u975e\u6d32\u5468\u8fb9\u5927\u578b\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8239\u65e5\u76ca\u589e\u52a0\u7684\u8fd0\u8f93\u91cf\u4e5f\u4ee4\u4eba\u62c5\u5fe7\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8239\u4e0a\u4e0e\u8d27\u7269\u6709\u5173\u7684\u706b\u707e\u4e00\u76f4\u662f\u4e1a\u5185\u7684\u70ed\u95e8\u8bdd\u9898\u2014\u2014\u8fd9\u4e5f\u662f\u7406\u6240\u5f53\u7136\u7684\uff1a\u6839\u636e\u8d27\u7269\u4e8b\u6545\u901a\u62a5\u7cfb\u7edf\uff08CINS\uff09\u7684\u7edf\u8ba1\u6570\u636e\uff0c2023 \u5e74\uff0c\u5e73\u5747\u6bcf 9 \u5929\u5c31\u4f1a\u53d1\u751f\u4e00\u8d77\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8d27\u7269\u706b\u707e\u30022020 \u5e74\u5927\u7ea6\u6bcf\u4e24\u5468\u53d1\u751f\u4e00\u8d77\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u706b\u707e\u3002\u4e0e\u5176\u76f8\u6bd4\uff0c\u53bb\u5e74\u8fd9\u4e00\u6570\u5b57\u6709\u6240\u4e0a\u5347\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u4e0d\u8fc7\uff0c\u5728 2024 \u5e74\u7684\u524d\u51e0\u4e2a\u6708\uff0c\u60c5\u51b5\u770b\u8d77\u6765\u6709\u6240\u8f6c\u673a\u3002\u57282024\u5e745\u6708\u524d\u76f8\u5f53\u957f\u7684\u4e00\u6bb5\u65f6\u95f4\u5185\u90fd\u6ca1\u6709\u53d1\u751f\u8fc7\u5927\u89c4\u6a21\u6216\u8f83\u4e3a\u4e25\u91cd\u7684\u706b\u707e\u3002\u7136\u800c\u57285\u670826\u65e5\uff0c\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8239 Northern Juvenile\u5728\u65b0\u52a0\u5761\u9644\u8fd1\u6c34\u57df\u8d77\u706b\u30027\u670819\u65e5\uff0cMaersk Frankfurt\u5728\u5370\u5ea6\u897f\u6d77\u5cb8\u8d77\u706b\uff0c\u4e00\u540d\u6d77\u5458\u4e0d\u5e78\u4e27\u751f\u3002\u5c31\u5728\u4e0a\u5468\uff0c\u505c\u9760\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u5b81\u6ce2\u6e2f\u7684\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8239YM Mobility\u53d1\u751f\u4e25\u91cd\u7206\u70b8\u5e76\u8d77\u706b\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u8239\u706b\u707e\u4f3c\u4e4e\u53c8\u5728\u589e\u52a0\u2014\u2014\u600e\u6837\u624d\u80fd\u9632\u8303\u4e8e\u672a\u71c3\uff1f<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u8be6\u7ec6\u4fe1\u606f\u8bf7\u53c2\u9605\u9644\u4ef6\u3002<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;ENG&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;CHN After a seemingly \u2018benign\u2019 period, we have seen several serious container ship fires lately, including a large one leading to tragic loss of life.
