Declaration of Security - Fujairah

The Port of Fujairah requires a Declaration of Security (DoF) between the port facility and the ships moored within the port area (inside, Vopak terminal & offshore) in any of the following cases (according to item 5 of the Code):

a) When the port security level is higher than level 1.

b) If a ship is working on a security level higher than the port's level (if the ship requests).

c) When there is a security threat or a security incident involving the ship or the port facility, as applicable.

d) When there is an agreement on a declaration of security between the contracting government covering certain international voyages or specific ships on these voyages.

Declaration of security will address the security requirements that could be shared between the port facility and the ship.

In any case, if a DoS is completed between two ships under an STS operation, a copy of this DoS must be submitted to marine department - POF, once it's completed.

For ships at the anchorage area, the port facility security officer will board them for furnishing the ship security officer with the DoS and appropriate charges will be put as per port tariff.

Any ships requesting a DoS under the above cases, should notify the Marine Department at least 24 hour before the vessel's ETA.
