西非巨大的铁矿储量，将为CAPE船开辟新的航线。

西非多个国家竞相推动铁路和港口建设，启动铁矿出口计划。目前，加蓬政府正全力吸引外商，投资铁路和港口建设。

据悉，加蓬BELINGA地区的铁矿储量超过10亿吨。美国工程公司Bechtel研究显示，Gentil港是加蓬境内最适合建设深水码头的港口。建成后的码头最多可以靠泊25万载重吨的船舶。衔接650公里的内陆铁路，出口BELINGA地区出产的铁矿。
