Shortage of bulk cargoes – Russia , St Petersburg

There has been reports of a number of short delivery claims of bulk cargoes at St Petersburg.

Cargoes are loaded from the ship to railroad trucks and only weighed inland upon arrival. The weight of the railroad trucks are painted at the side of each truck and are not reliable.

It is suggested that when bulk cargoes are discharged at St Petersburg or any other ports which carry cargoes from port to inland using rail trucks that the P&I Club is contacted to arrange for their correspondents to attend.
