Fraudulent Claims for Services – Suez Canal

A case of fraudulent claims for services was reported in the Suez Canal area.

A payment reminder was received for an invoice which was later found to be for motorboat’s assistance during the vessel’s Suez Canal transit. The invoice appeared to have been signed by the ship’s master however the signature was fraudulent and no motorboat assistance had been ordered.
