Members whose vessels are calling at ports in Yemen should note that new procedures to facilitate commercial imports have been instituted by the United Nations at the request of the Government of Yemen.
The new procedures, known as the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism (UNVIM), require shipping companies and vessel owners who are shipping commercial goods or bilateral assistance (government to government transfers) to any port in Yemen that is not under direct control of the Government of Yemen (ie. Port Saleef, Mokha, Hodeidah and associated oil terminals) to apply for the relevant permit upon departure from the port of origin of their cargo.

也门 – 商品许可证新程序
船舶挂靠也门港口的会员需注意，应也门政府要求联合国制定新程序，以促进也门商品进口。
新程序被称为“联合国核查和视察机制”(以下简称“UNVIM”)。新程序要求航运公司及船东，向任何非也门政府直接控制的港口(例如，萨利夫、摩卡、荷台达及相关油运码头)，运输商品或(政府间)双边援助物资时，应在船舶离开货物起运港之时，申请相关许可证。
