We have recently been reported several cargo claims arising from defected hatch covers. While loading water-sensitive cargoes, e.g. gain, fertilizer, steel and paper cargoes, it is of great importance to pay attention to the weathertightness of the hatch covers. Even small amounts of seawater leaked into the cargo holds may cause extensive damage to these kinds of cargoes. It is thus recommended to ensure the hatch covers are in a serviceable condition at the loading port or even at sea. If the vessel sails from load port in apparent knowledge that the hatch cover(s) is not weathertight, the P&I Club will take into consideration in the event of any cargo claim(s) due to subsequent sea water ingress into cargo holds. We hereby enclose relevant Loss Prevention Briefing introducing principal methods of testing hatch cover weathertightness issued by North of England P&I club, together with a checklist to ensure hatch covers’ condition for your company’s reference.<\/span>

\u6211\u53f8\u6700\u8fd1\u6536\u5230\u51e0\u8d77\u4e0e\u8231\u76d6\u677f\u72b6\u51b5\u6709\u5173\u7684\u8d27\u635f\u6848\u4ef6\u3002\u5f53\u88c5\u8fd0\u8bf8\u5982\u7cae\u98df\u3001\u80a5\u6599\u3001\u94a2\u6750\u4ee5\u53ca\u7eb8\u5236\u54c1\u7b49\u6c34\u654f\u611f\u6027\u8d27\u7269\u65f6\uff0c\u8231\u76d6\u677f\u7684\u6c34\u5bc6\u6027\u662f\u503c\u5f97\u6ce8\u610f\u548c\u91cd\u89c6\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u95ee\u9898\u3002\u5373\u4f7f\u53ea\u6709\u5f88\u5c11\u91cf\u7684\u6d77\u6c34\u6e17\u6f0f\u8fdb\u8d27\u8231\uff0c\u4e5f\u53ef\u80fd\u5bf9\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8d27\u7269\u9020\u6210\u5de8\u5927\u7684\u635f\u5bb3\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u5728\u88c5\u8d27\u6e2f\u751a\u81f3\u5728\u6d77\u4e0a\u822a\u884c\u9014\u4e2d\uff0c\u90fd\u5efa\u8bae\u8239\u65b9\u786e\u4fdd\u8231\u76d6\u677f\u662f\u5904\u4e8e\u6c34\u5bc6\u826f\u597d\u7684\u72b6\u6001\u3002\u5982\u679c\u8239\u65b9\u660e\u77e5\u8231\u76d6\u677f\u6c34\u5bc6\u6027\u5e76\u4e0d\u5408\u683c\u5374\u4ecd\u65e7\u8ba9\u8239\u8236\u8fd0\u8d27\u5f00\u822a\uff0c\u82e5\u4e4b\u540e\u6709\u56e0\u4e3a\u6d77\u6c34\u8fdb\u5165\u8d27\u8231\u800c\u9020\u6210\u7684\u8d27\u635f\uff0c\u4fdd\u8d54\u534f\u4f1a\u5219\u4f1a\u5c06\u8239\u65b9\u7684\u8fd9\u79cd\u884c\u4e3a\u7eb3\u5165\u8d54\u4ed8\u7684\u8003\u8651\u56e0\u7d20\u4e2d\u53bb\u3002\u9644\u4ef6\u4e2d\u662f\u7531\u5317\u82f1\u4fdd\u8d54\u534f\u4f1a\u53d1\u5e03\u7684\u9632\u635f\u901a\u51fd\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u51e0\u79cd\u6d4b\u8bd5\u8231\u76d6\u677f\u6c34\u5bc6\u6027\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u65b9\u6cd5\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u786e\u8ba4\u8231\u76d6\u677f\u60c5\u51b5\u7684\u5bf9\u7167\u6e05\u5355\u4f9b\u8d35\u53f8\u53c2\u8003\u3002<\/p>\n
