Circular 1: Mandatory Requirements for Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm Systems (BNWAS) and Electronic Chart Display & Information Systems (ECDIS) (from SOE)<\/span><\/p>\n

The Association would like to bring to the attention of their Members that the Maritime Safety Committee, at its eight-sixth session, adopted amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea that included amendments to Chapter V, Safety of Navigation. Regulation 19, “Carriage requirements for shipborne navigational systems and equipment”. These amendments include mandatory requirements for Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm Systems (BNWAS) and Electronic Chart Display & Information Systems (ECDIS). Details please refer to attached circular 1.<\/p>\n

Circular 2: Ship-to-Ship (STS) Operations & Plans (from SOE)<\/p>\n

The Association would like to bring to the attention of their members amendments to MARPOL73\/78 adopted under Resolution MEPC. 186(59) that introduces a new Chapter 8 containing Regulations 40,41 and 42, with regard the “Prevention of Pollution during transfer of oil cargo between oil tankers at sea. Details please refer to circular 2.<\/p>\n

Circular 3: California Block Stowage (CBS) Method (From API)<\/p>\n

It has come to your Managers’ attention that some Members have recently been placed under pressure to agree to load steel cargoes using the California Block Stowage (CBS) method. The Club does not recommend the use of the CBS method in circumstances other than the shipping of steel slab cargoes between North and South America. Details please refer to Circular 3.<\/p>\n

Circular 4: CHARTERPARTY CLAUSES: INDEMNITY FOR INSURED RISKS\uff08From several IG clubs\uff09<\/p>\n

It has recently been reported by a number of clubs within the International Group that some charterers have been seeking to incorporate a certain clause into their charterparties, in particular in the container trades. For the reasons set out below, the clause in question has the potential to prejudice an Owner’s P&I cover and should not be agreed without considering the full implications of doing so. Details please refer to circulars No.4 from API, London, and BSM.<\/p>\n

\u534f\u4f1a\u6ce8\u610f\u5230\u6700\u8fd1\u4e00\u4e9b\u4f1a\u5458\u8feb\u4e8e\u538b\u529b\u4f7f\u7528California Block Stowage (CBS)\u65b9\u6cd5\u6765\u88c5\u8f7d\u94a2\u677f\u3002CBS\u88c5\u8f7d\u6cd5\u662f\u4ece\u52a0\u5dde\u94a2\u94c1\u4e1a\u53d1\u5c55\u8d77\u6765\u7684\u7684\u7528\u5728\u5357\u5317\u7f8e\u6d32\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u94a2\u94c1\u8d38\u6613\u7684\u65e8\u5728\u901a\u8fc7\u51cf\u5c11\u4eba\u5de5\u64cd\u4f5c\u6765\u964d\u4f4e\u88c5\u5378\u6210\u672c\u7684\u88c5\u8f7d\u65b9\u6cd5\u3002\u4f46\u8fd9\u4e00\u88c5\u8f7d\u65b9\u6cd5\u5fc5\u987b\u5728\u4e13\u5bb6\u7684\u76d1\u7763\u4e0b\u8fdb\u884c\u3002 \u534f\u4f1a\u5e76\u4e0d\u63a8\u8350\u4f1a\u5458\u4f7f\u7528\u8fd9\u79cd\u65b9\u6cd5\uff0c\u9664\u975e\u662f\u5728\u5357\u5317\u7f8e\u6d32\u95f4\u7684\u8d38\u6613\u3002\u5982\u679c\u4f1a\u5458\u4e0d\u5f97\u4e0d\u7528\u8fd9\u79cd\u65b9\u6cd5\uff0c\u5219\u5fc5\u987b\u4fdd\u8bc1\uff1a
