The Club has recently issued a circular that provides guidance on preparing cargo holds and loading of solid bulk cargoes which covers the areas of Fixing the cargo voyage, Cargo declaration, Instructions to the vessel, Standard for hold cleanliness, Special instructions and requirements, Loss Prevention in Basic standards\/ Safety\/ Maintenance, Common cause of cargo damage and finally given some Practical advice.<\/p>\n

Preparation of cargo holds is a critical element of bulk carrier operations, requiring careful planning and competent execution. A lack of proper preparation not only leads to claims related to cargo quality but also contractual claims, such as contamination, water ingress and off-hire claims or charter party disputes respectively.<\/p>\n

Besides, understanding exactly what is required is essential. It is important everyone involved in the \u2018cargo chain’ from the chartering and operations team ashore, to the Master, Chief Officer and crew on-board understand the processes involved.<\/p>\n

\u5907\u8231\u662f\u6563\u8d27\u8239\u8fd0\u8f93\u4f5c\u4e1a\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u91cd\u8981\u65b9\u9762\uff0c\u8981\u6c42\u4ed4\u7ec6\u89c4\u5212\u5e76\u6709\u6548\u6267\u884c\u3002\u5982\u679c\u8239\u8231\u51c6\u5907\u7684\u4e0d\u597d\uff0c\u4e0d\u4f46\u5bfc\u81f4\u8d27\u7269\u8d28\u91cf\u76f8\u5173\u7d22\u8d54\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u4f1a\u5f15\u8d77\u5408\u540c\u7d22\u8d54\uff0c\u4f8b\u5982\u6c61\u67d3\u3001\u8239\u8231\u8fdb\u6c34\u3001\u505c\u79df\u8d54\u507f\u3001\u79df\u7ea6\u7ea0\u7eb7\u7b49\u3002<\/p>\n
