A technical issue will not be allowed to prevent such liability for costs being passed down a charterparty chain. This is illustrated by the recent case outlined below: Occidental Chartering INC. V Progress Bulk Carrier Ltd (2012) EWHC3515.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">This case involved a chain of charterparties.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #000000; line-height: normal;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Precious Garnets Ltd (PG), Head Owners time chartered the MV Chada Naree to the Disponent Owners Occidental Services Corporation (OSC).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">OSC did not enter into a charterparty but instead re-let the vessel to a company within its corporation known as Occidental Chartering Inc (OCI).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">OCI time-chartered this vessel onto Progress Bulk Carriers (PBC).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">PBC in turn, sub-chartered this vessel onto CNAN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">See attached file: Costs Liability passing down a Charterparty Chain.pdf<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #022469;\"><strong>\u6cd5\u5f8b\u8d39\u7528\u8d23\u4efb\u5728\u79df\u7ea6\u94fe\u4e0a\u7684\u4f20\u9012<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">\u5728\u79df\u7ea6\u6761\u6b3e\u662f\u80cc\u5bf9\u80cc\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u7d22\u8d54\u6210\u529f\u7684\u60c5\u51b5\u4e0b\uff0c\u6240\u53d1\u751f\u7684\u8d39\u7528\u8d23\u4efb\u5e94\u8be5\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u79df\u7ea6\u94fe\u4e0a\u4f20\u9012\u3002\u6cd5\u5f8b\u4e0a\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u4e0d\u80fd\u963b\u6b62\u79df\u7ea6\u94fe\u4e2d\u6b64\u7c7b\u8d39\u7528\u8d23\u4efb\u7684\u4f20\u9012\u3002Occidental Chartering INC.
