Mandatory implementation of the amendments to the IMSBC Code <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This circular aims to provide an update and reminder to the Assureds of the requirements of the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes Code (IMSBC). These new regulations were voluntary for a transition period from 1 January 2014, but will come into effect from 1 January 2015.<\/p>\n

Since the IMSBC Code is an integral and mandatory part of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), all parties such as Owners, operators, charterers and shippers who involved in the bulk cargo trade must comply with the detailed provisions of the IMSBC Code.<\/p>\n
