The explosions have affected Tianjin port. This E-Bulletin comments briefly on the current situation at the port and points out important issues that assureds should be aware of if they are to be involved in shipments there over the forthcoming period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Update as of 17 August<\/strong> <br \/>The first explosion took place in the evening of 12 August 2015 in a dangerous cargo warehouse in the international logistics centre of Tianjin port, around 3 miles away from the nearest terminal. At around 2250hrs, fire was sighted at the container warehouse and shortly after there was an explosion of the entire warehouse. Subsequently a second explosion occurred in the area involving nearby dangerous goods cargo container warehouses.
