Claimants allege that this is brought about by the ship\u2019s failure to ventilate correctly, resulting in the development of condensation (known as \u201csweat\u201d). This sweat can lead to the deterioration of a number of bulk cargoes such as grain, seedcake and steel surfaces. All modern bulk carriers are fitted with some form of ventilation, either natural or mechanical, which can be used to minimize the formation of sweat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cargo Sweat<\/strong><br \/>Cargo sweat is condensation forming on the surface of a \u201ccold\u201d cargo as warm, moist air enters the cargo hold. For example, if a cargo of steel is loaded in winter in North China for discharge in Singapore, the temperature of the cargo will be low. If warm moist air is later introduced in the cargo hold, condensation takes place as soon as it comes into contact with \u201ccold\u201d cargo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px; text-align: justify;\">See attached file: Bulk Carrier Ventilation.pdf<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #022469;\"><strong>\u6709\u5173\u6563\u8d27\u8239\u7684\u901a\u98ce\u95ee\u9898<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px; text-align: justify;\">\u6e7f\u635f\u662f\u5927\u91cf\u8d27\u635f\u7d22\u8d54\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u539f\u56e0\u3002\u7d22\u8d54\u65b9\u901a\u5e38\u58f0\u79f0\u8fd9\u662f\u7531\u4e8e\u8239\u8236\u672a\u80fd\u4fdd\u6301\u826f\u597d\u7684\u901a\u98ce\u6240\u81f4\uff0c\u5bfc\u81f4\u51b7\u51dd\u5f62\u6210(\u901a\u5e38\u4e5f\u53eb\u201c\u6c57\u6e7f\u201d)\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u6c34\u6c7d\u5c06\u5bfc\u81f4\u6563\u88c5\u8d27\u7269\u54c1\u8d28\u6076\u5316\uff0c\u4f8b\u5982\u8c37\u7269\u3001\u79cd\u5b50\u997c\u53ca\u94a2\u6750\u8d27\u7269\u8868\u9762\u3002\u6240\u6709\u73b0\u4ee3\u5316\u7684\u6563\u8d27\u8239\u5747\u914d\u5907\u4e86\u81ea\u7136\u6216\u673a\u68b0\u901a\u98ce\u8bbe\u5907\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u6700\u5927\u9650\u5ea6\u964d\u4f4e\u6c34\u6c7d\u7684\u5f62\u6210\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u8d27\u7269\u6c34\u6c7d<\/strong><br \/>\u5f53\u6696\u6e7f\u7a7a\u6c14\u8fdb\u5165\u8d27\u8231\u540e\uff0c\u201c\u6c57\u201d\u901a\u5e38\u5f62\u6210\u4e8e\u6e29\u5ea6\u8f83\u4f4e\u7684\u8d27\u7269\u8868\u9762\u3002\u4f8b\u5982\uff0c\u51ac\u5b63\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u5317\u65b9\u88c5\u8f7d\u94a2\u6750\uff0c\u800c\u5728\u65b0\u52a0\u5761\u5378\u8d27\uff0c\u88c5\u8239\u65f6\u8d27\u7269\u6e29\u5ea6\u901a\u5e38\u8f83\u4f4e\u3002\u5982\u679c\u6696\u6e7f\u7a7a\u6c14\u8fdb\u5165\u4e86\u8d27\u8231\u5e76\u9047\u5230\u8868\u9762\u6e29\u5ea6\u8f83\u4f4e\u7684\u8d27\u7269\uff0c\u901a\u5e38\u4fbf\u6613\u4e8e\u4ea7\u751f\u6c34\u6c7d\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">\u8be6\u7ec6\u4fe1\u606f\u8bf7\u53c2\u9605\u9644\u4ef6\u3002<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;ENG&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;CHN&nbsp;&nbsp; Moisture damage is the source of a significant number of cargo claims.
