Members will already be aware of the Zika prevention measures being implemented by the Chinese Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ) as outlined in the Club\u2019s previous circular. We have received a further update from the Correspondent, Huatai Insurance Agency & Consultant Service Limited, setting out clarifications provided by the local authorities. The matters addressed are as follows:-<\/p>\n

  1. The requirements for Mosquito Eradication Certificates (MEC) apply to vessels calling at Chinese ports directly from a Zika virus affected country;<\/li>\n
  2. MECs can be issued by local authorities or disinfection companies located in the Zika virus affected country;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. \u706d\u868a\u8bc1\u660e\u7684\u8981\u6c42\u9002\u7528\u4e8e\u4ece\u5be8\u5361\u75c5\u6bd2\u611f\u67d3\u75c5\u4f8b\u7684\u56fd\u5bb6\u76f4\u63a5\u6302\u9760\u4e2d\u56fd\u6e2f\u53e3\u7684\u8239\u53ea<\/li>\n
    2. \u706d\u868a\u8bc1\u4e66\u53ef\u7531\u5be8\u5361\u75c5\u6bd2\u611f\u67d3\u75c5\u4f8b\u56fd\u5bb6\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u5f53\u5c40\u6216\u5f53\u5730\u6d88\u6bd2\u516c\u53f8\u51fa\u5177<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
