This Circular provides a general overview of key sanctions that apply to Syria shipping and related insurance activities and also describes the potential impact of certain recent developments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>EU Sanctions<\/strong><br \/>EU sanctions against the Government of Syria have been effective since May 2011. The EU trade sanctions measures currently in force are set out in Council Regulation (EU) No 36\/2012, as amended and Council Regulation (EU) No 168\/2012, which amends Council Regulation (EU) No 509\/2012.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px;\">See attached file: Syria Sanctions.pdf<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #022469;\"><strong>\u53d9\u5229\u4e9a\u5236\u88c1<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u80cc\u666f<\/strong><br \/>\u6b27\u76df\u548c\u7f8e\u56fd\u6301\u7eed\u5bf9\u53d9\u5229\u4e9a\u653f\u5e9c\u53ca\u82e5\u5e72\u7279\u5b9a\u7684\u53d9\u5229\u4e9a\u4e2a\u4eba\u548c\u5b9e\u4f53\u5b9e\u65bd\u8d38\u6613\u5236\u88c1\u3002\u672c\u6587\u5c06\u603b\u4f53\u9610\u8ff0\u9488\u5bf9\u53d9\u5229\u4e9a\u822a\u8fd0\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u5236\u88c1\u53ca\u76f8\u5173\u4fdd\u9669\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u5e76\u6307\u51fa\u5bf9\u76ee\u524d\u5c40\u52bf\u7684\u6f5c\u5728\u5f71\u54cd\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.818181991577148px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u6b27\u76df\u5236\u88c1<\/strong><br \/>\u81ea2011\u5e745\u6708\u8d77\uff0c\u6b27\u76df\u5bf9\u53d9\u5229\u4e9a\u653f\u5e9c\u5b9e\u65bd\u5236\u88c1\u3002\u76ee\u524d\u6b63\u5728\u6267\u884c\u7684\u6b27\u76df\u8d38\u6613\u5236\u88c1\u63aa\u65bd\uff0c\u7ecf\u7531\u6b27\u76df\u7b2c36\/2012\u53f7\u51b3\u8bae\u901a\u8fc7\uff0c\u5e76\u7ecf\u6b27\u76df\u7b2c168\/2012\u53f7\u53ca\u7b2c509\/2012\u53f7\u51b3\u8bae\u4fee\u8ba2\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;\">\u8be6\u7ec6\u4fe1\u606f\u8bf7\u53c2\u9605\u9644\u4ef6\u3002<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;ENG&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;CHN&nbsp;&nbsp; BackgroundBoth the European Union and the United States continue to apply trade sanctions against the Government of Syria and a number of designated Syrian persons and entities.
