The International Group Clubs issued a recommended charterparty indemnity clause &#8211; drafted in cooperation with BIMCO &#8211; for the allocation of pollution fines and penalties between the parties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The level of fines was increased in 2013 and the terms of the charterparty clause were also amended &#8211; please see Notice to Members <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westpandi.com\/Publications\/Notice-to-Members\/Archive\/Notice-to-Members-No-2-20132014\/\">No.2 2013\/2014<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are grateful to Austrlian lawyers <a href=\"http:\/\/hwlebsworth.com.au\/expertise\/transport\/shipping-and-trade\/\">HWL Ebsworth<\/a> for advice that the fines have been recently been increased again.
