China Expands its Sulphur Emission Control Areas<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

From 1 January 2019 vessels must switch to fuel with a sulphur content not exceeding 0.50% prior to entering China\u2019s territorial sea.<\/p>\n

We refer to our alert \u201cSulphur cap ahead!\u201d of 8 November 2018 notifying Members and clients of regional sulphur emission control requirements taking effect on 1 January 2019 in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China\u2019s domestic emission control areas (ECA).<\/p>\n
