font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #022469;\"><strong>Canada ratifies the Wreck Removal Convention<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Canada will become party to the Nairobi Convention on the Removal of Wrecks, 2007 (\u201cthe convention\u201d) effective 30 July 2019 (by way of agreement dated 1 May, 2019).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This new insurance requirement stipulates that compulsory insurance for wreck removal is required for owners who operate vessels that:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;
