Recently ALCO through their marketing team of Windy and Sarah organised a webinar that was well attended by numerous clients of ALCO. Our Dr. (Capt.) Vivek Jain, provided his insights into the current issues and how to mitigate the issues during the webinar. There was very positive feedback. This article is for those, who could not attend the webinar.<\/p>\n

His focus was on the effects of COVID-19 issue on commercial aspects of maritime trade. His focus on commercial issue was based on the fact, that if the stakeholders can protect their economic interest, then it is more likely that kind of distress faced by the seafarers can be alleviated. The reasoning being that ultimately all boils down to issues of costs and expenses, and no matter how unfair it seems to seafarers in distress. Therefore, the financial aspects cannot be divorced from social aspects in the commercial shipping. There has to be a realist angle to it and of course he highlighted a need of solidarity and all parties in commercial chain should refrain from being adversarial as it affects the backbone of shipping \u2013 the seafarers.<\/p>\n

\u8fd1\u671f\uff0cALCO\u901a\u8fc7\u5e02\u573a\u90e8\u56e2\u961f\u7ec4\u7ec7\u4e86\u4e00\u573a\u7f51\u7edc\u7814\u8ba8\u4f1a\uff0c\u4f17\u591aALCO\u5ba2\u6237\u79ef\u6781\u53c2\u4f1a\u3002\u5728\u7814\u8ba8\u4f1a\u4e2d\uff0cVivek Jain\u535a\u58eb\uff08\u8239\u957f\uff09\u5bf9\u4e8eCovid-2019\u5f15\u53d1\u7684\u4e89\u8bae\u4ee5\u53ca\u5982\u4f55\u51cf\u5c11\u4e89\u8bae\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u4ed6\u7684\u89c1\u89e3\u3002\u4e0e\u4f1a\u8005\u5bf9\u8fd9\u573a\u4f1a\u8bae\u505a\u4e86\u79ef\u6781\u7684\u53cd\u9988\uff0c\u672c\u6587\u5c06\u4e3a\u672a\u53c2\u4e0e\u7814\u8ba8\u4f1a\u7684\u5404\u4f4d\u63d0\u4f9b\u4f1a\u8bae\u5185\u5bb9\u6982\u8981\u3002<\/p>\n

Vivek\u7740\u773c\u4e8eCOVID-19\u5bf9\u6d77\u8fd0\u8d38\u6613\u5546\u4e1a\u65b9\u9762\u4ea7\u751f\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u5c55\u5f00\u672c\u6b21\u6f14\u8bb2\u3002\u4ed6\u5bf9\u5546\u4e1a\u4e89\u8bae\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u89c2\u70b9\u57fa\u4e8e\u8fd9\u6837\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e8b\u5b9e\uff0c\u76f8\u5173\u5229\u76ca\u65b9\u5982\u679c\u53ef\u4ee5\u4fdd\u62a4\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u7ecf\u6d4e\u5229\u76ca\uff0c\u90a3\u4e48\u6d77\u5458\u9762\u4e34\u7684\u56f0\u5883\u4e5f\u66f4\u5bb9\u6613\u5f97\u5230\u7f13\u89e3\u3002\u56e0\u4e3a\u65e0\u8bba\u5bf9\u9677\u5165\u75ab\u60c5\u56f0\u5883\u7684\u6d77\u5458\u4eec\u6709\u591a\u4e48\u4e0d\u516c\uff0c\u6240\u6709\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u6700\u7ec8\u90fd\u88ab\u5f52\u7ed3\u4e8e\u6210\u672c\u548c\u652f\u51fa\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u3002\u56e0\u800c\u5728\u5546\u4e1a\u822a\u8fd0\u4e2d\uff0c\u7ecf\u6d4e\u4e0a\u7684\u8003\u91cf\u4e0d\u80fd\u8131\u79bb\u793e\u4f1a\u5c42\u9762\u8ba8\u8bba\uff0c\u5fc5\u987b\u4ece\u73b0\u5b9e\u7684\u89d2\u5ea6\u6765\u770b\u5f85COVID-19\u4e89\u8bae\u3002\u5f53\u7136\uff0c\u4ed6\u5f3a\u8c03\u4e86\u56e2\u7ed3\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6027\uff0c\u822a\u8fd0\u5546\u4e1a\u94fe\u4e2d\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u73af\u90fd\u5e94\u907f\u514d\u4e92\u76f8\u654c\u5bf9\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u8fd9\u5c06\u5f71\u54cd\u5230\u822a\u8fd0\u4e1a\u7684\u652f\u67f1\u2014\u2014\u6d77\u5458\u3002<\/p>\n
