Recent acts of piracy and armed robberies in the Guayaquil channel, Ecuador, have been brought to the Club’s attention. These attacks are increasing in numbers and pose a serious threat to maritime commerce in the area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pirates’ modus operandi is simple. Usually, an unlit craft approaches the target vessel at high speed, the pirates then board the vessel using the pilot ladder or their own equipment (hooks attached with ropes and monkey ladders). Containers on the vessel are then opened randomly and goods removed. These attacks are very brief lasting between five and ten minutes and generally occur at night.<\/p>\n

\u5f53\u5730\u6d77\u76d7\u88ad\u51fb\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u5f88\u7b80\u5355\u3002\u901a\u5e38\uff0c\u6d77\u76d7\u4e58\u5750\u6ca1\u6709\u706f\u7684\u5c0f\u8239\u5feb\u901f\u63a5\u8fd1\u76ee\u6807\u8239\u8236\uff0c\u7528\u5f15\u6c34\u68af\u6216\u5176\u81ea\u5e26\u8bbe\u5907\uff08\u6709\u6302\u94a9\u7684\u7ef3\u7d22\u548c\u6811\u6746\u5236\u77ff\u7528\u68af\u5b50\uff09\u767b\u4e0a\u8239\u8236\u3002\u4efb\u610f\u6253\u5f00\u8239\u4e0a\u591a\u4e2a\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u5e76\u8f6c\u79fb\u8d27\u7269\u3002\u88ad\u51fb\u65f6\u95f4\u975e\u5e38\u77ed\uff0c\u4ec5\u6301\u7eed5\u81f310\u5206\u949f\uff0c\u4e00\u822c\u53d1\u751f\u4e8e\u591c\u95f4\u3002<\/p>\n
