Termination of head charterparty and the issues with sub-charterparty
In a new very complex case, involving sophisticated company structures, Y Roro 1 Pte Ltd and Another v Onorato Armatori Srl and Others [2024] EWHC 611 (Comm), King’s Bench Division, Commercial Court (Sir William Blair) – 21 March 2024, the issue rights of owners to take redelievery of ship arose, if one of charter in the charter chain is broken.
