“事实记录”(以下简称“SOF”) 是用以记录装卸期间所有相关事实及时间的单证，这些因素都将影响装卸时间、滞期/速遣费的计算。通常，SOF由船代缮制，记录装货、卸货、移泊、恶劣天气、以及其他除外期间，装卸准备就绪通知书的递交等。
尽管其它证据可以对抗“事实记录”，但是从High Seas Venture Limited Partnership v Sinom (HK) Ltd (‘New Forest’) [2008] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 504案的判决来看，SOF的证据效力无疑是很强的。法官认为这是有力证据的理由是，通常SOF是由双方同时签署的。

Statement of Fact – Take it seriously
Statement of Facts (‘SOF’) is a document which records all relevant facts and times during the loading/discharging affecting the calculation of laytime, demurrage/dispatch. SOF is usually drafted by the ship’s agent records all periods for loading, discharging, shifting, bad weather, other excepted periods and tendering of Notice of Readiness etc.
Even though Statement of Fact can be rebutted by other evidence, it is a law pursuant to the case of High Seas Venture Limited Partnership v Sinom (HK) Ltd (‘New Forest’) [2008] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 504 that ‘evidential value’ of SOF is ‘unquestionably strong’. The reason for judges considering it as a good evidence is because it is contemporaneous document and usually signed by the both the parties.
