印尼原矿出口禁令于2014年1月12日起生效。但是，印尼政府于上周六晚上通过了一项条例，允许国际矿产公司至少在2017年前继续出口矿石。
印尼总统苏西洛签发的该项条例将减轻禁令对主要大型矿产公司的影响，包括美国自由港麦克莫兰铜金矿公司和纽蒙特矿业公司。公司承诺在2017年以前建造冶炼厂。同时，公司可以继续出口未加工矿石。据悉，除以上两家矿业巨头外，有66家矿产公司宣称他们将建造冶炼厂。在这些公司建造冶炼厂期间，即2017年以前，印尼政府将向其征收矿石出口税。
据Skuld保赔协会的消息，印尼政府已提议设定矿石纯度水平标准。如果货物的纯度在最低水平之上，那么2014年1月12日之后仍可出口。如果事态没有进一步的发展，这些货物可以继续出口直到2017年，届时将有新的法律规定生效。

Indonesia Announces Export Ban on Raw Ore – Updated
The mining export ban took effect from 12 January 2014. However, Indonesia government passed a regulation last Saturday night that would allow international mining firms to continue such exports until at least 2017.
The regulation President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono issued, however, could ease the ban’s impact on major mining companies, including the American giants Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold and the Newmont Mining Corporation, which will reportedly be obligated to build smelting facilities by 2017. In the mean time, they can still export unprocessed ore. It is noted that not only these two companies, but also 66 companies that have said they will build smelters. The government would impose taxes on mineral exports until 2017, when companies would have built smelters.
According to information from Skuld Club, the government put forward proposal to set standards for mineral purity levels, and should a cargo be above the minimum level then it can still be exported post 12 January 2014. Bar further developments, exports could then continue until 2017 at which time further legal changes are expected to take effect.
