按照航运实践的一般做法及保赔协会的要求，在保险理赔案件发生时，保赔协会的会员们都必须立刻通知协会，与此同时会员们都会需要协会的支持，例如向协会进行询问、通过当地通代进行调查或其他法律上的援助。最近，越来越多的客户查询这类相关费用和开支是否适用于免赔额，还是不管索赔数额是否低于免赔额都由协会来支付的问题。为此，我们就这问题向各大互保协会进行调查询问，并进行整理以下列表，以便参考。
因此，在确认”费用和开支” 的求偿要求时，各协会会员们有必要谨慎地审阅入会条款以及相关的规则要求。我们建议客户在入会前及时与负责投保的人员沟通以免日后会产生不必要的误会。以上所述的各大国际保赔协会做法仅供参考，并以英文为准，而且需要说明的是这并不能作为一般规则进行运用，还需根据具体案件情形进行分析。

The Application of Deductible in IG Clubs
In the general shipping practice, once the P&I cases incur, the members are likely to seek for supports from the clubs like enquiry, local correspondents’ assistance or other legal advices. Recently, we have received enquiry whether the “costs and expenses” incurred in this process would be subject to applicable deductible or covered by the club regardless the claim amount. As the result, we have conducted a research from the IG Group and summarizing their advices as follow:
To sum up, when ascertaining the requirement of “costs and expenses” payment, it is important for a member to review prudently the terms of entry and the relevant clauses in the club’s rule book. It is better to clarify at the time of placing rather than later. The aforesaid IG Clubs’ general practices are only for your kind reference, and thus it should be noted that these practices could not be regarded as the rules which will be changed in particular cases.
