Skuld保赔协会再次警示会员,应充分注意到铁矿石货物的液化风险并重申协会的建议。潜在的货物液化风险不仅仅出现在印度,在菲律宾,易液化货物不如实申报现象普遍存在,这对前往装货的船只来说是严重的风险。

有时,发货人把含水严重的铁矿石货物申报为C类货物。纳入该类别使发货人不用提供流动水分点(FMP)和适运水分限量(TML)的相关资料,并隐瞒了货物液化的风险。

Iron Ore Cargoes – renewed warning

The Association repeated its advices and cautions for alerting members to the risk of liquefaction of iron ore cargoes. The potential risk of liquefaction occurs not just in India; miss-declaration of cargoes prone to liquefaction is a common and serious risk for vessels trading in the Philippines.

In some cases, shipper tendered seriously waterlogged iron ore cargo as Category “C”. The cargo categorization allows the shipper to escape from providing FMP or TML information as well as hiding the risk of cargo liquefaction.
