The US Government enforces embargoes and sanctions against certain nominated countries, organisations, vessels and individuals. Both the US Government and member states of the European Union enforce additional sanctions against Iran. This has the effect of creating a wide range of prohibited and sanctionable activities, which include insurance and carriage of goods. This Circular states the implications of these sanctions for Club cover. The Circular replaces 2010/03, which dealt exclusively with OFAC.
