The Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC) entered into force in August 2013 and continues to gain support from states.
On 12 November 2015 the People’s Republic of China became the 68th state to ratify the Convention.
China has a merchant fleet of approximately 3,000 ships amounting to nearly 45,000,000gross tons and ratification will extend the benefits of the Convention to over 250,000 seafarers.

《2006年海事劳工公约》于2013年8月生效，不断得到诸多国家的支持。
2015年11月12日，中国成为第68个批准该公约的国家。
中国拥有约3000艘船舶的商业船队，近45,000,000总吨位，批准公约将给超过25万名船员带来更多福利。
