Members will already be aware of the Zika prevention measures being implemented by the Chinese Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ) as outlined in the Club’s previous circular. We have received a further update from the Correspondent, Huatai Insurance Agency & Consultant Service Limited, setting out clarifications provided by the local authorities. The matters addressed are as follows:-
- The requirements for Mosquito Eradication Certificates (MEC) apply to vessels calling at Chinese ports directly from a Zika virus affected country;
- MECs can be issued by local authorities or disinfection companies located in the Zika virus affected country;

中国 – 寨卡病毒 – 灭蚊证明 – 更新
协会已在之前的通函中提醒会员注意，中国出入境检验检疫局(CIQ)实施寨卡病毒预防措施。据协会通代发回的最新消息，地方当局进一步澄清以下内容：
- 灭蚊证明的要求适用于从寨卡病毒感染病例的国家直接挂靠中国港口的船只
- 灭蚊证书可由寨卡病毒感染病例国家的地方当局或当地消毒公司出具
