The U.S. Coast Guard announced on 5 September 2012 that vessels which have visited any port in the Republic of Yemen, except the Ash Shihr Terminal, the Balhalf LNG Terminal and the Port of Hodeidah, as one of their last five port calls cannot visit the U.S. unless they comply with certain conditions of entry. This adds Yemen to the list of countries that the U.S. Coast Guard has determined are not maintaining effective anti-terrorism measures in their ports.
