Oily water separator
Overseas Shipholding Group has set a reserve of US$6 million to settle their case with the Department of Justice on alleged violations related to oily water separators. This amount would cover fines and legal costs. The settlement relates to record keeping irregularities.
US prosecutors are also investigating other vessels in the OSG fleet for similar violations and have interviewed crew members.
