Ebola disease has become a very hot topic around the world and the shipping market is not able to be immuned.
Recently, we have come across many Ebola clauses which we think is drafted for the owners’ interest at the cost of the charterers. On the other hand, we consider that a clause of such kind shall be applied to highly infectious disease rather than Ebola only.
Since there is no standard clause for the time being, we would like to strike a balance so as to be fair to the practitioners in the market. The clause below is for the consideration of our Charterers clients only and shall not be deemed as water proof from claims arising whatsoever. 近期市场上出现很多有关埃博拉的条款，我们也研究了不少相关条款。这些条款大都是基于船东的立场起草的，有损租家的利益。另外，我们认为此类条款应适用于高度感染性疾病，而不仅仅是埃博拉病毒。
目前为止还没有统一的标准条款，我们希望能找到一个平衡点，使市场各参与方处于相对公平的地位。以下条款仅供我司租家客户参考，但并不是避免索赔发生的保障。我们建议您在适当的时候，咨询协会或律师。
