On October 23rd, 2012, the world’s first specialized vessel of carriage of nickel ore – The Jules Garnier II was delivered by Japan’ Naikai Zosen Corporation, according to ClassNK. The Jules Garnier II is the first vessel to be recongnized as a “Specially Constructed Cargo Ship” for carriage of Nickel Ore in accordance with the IMO’s IMSBC Code, and ClassNK’s Classification Committee has announced vessel’s registration during their monthly meeting on October 22nd.

世界首艘专用镍矿运输船”Jules Garnier II”交付
2012年10月23日，按照日本船级社 (ClassNK)的规范要求，世界上首艘镍矿专用船”Jules Garnier II” 轮由日本内海造船株式会社(Naikai Zosen Corporation)建造并交付使用。该船成为世界上首艘被确认符合国际海事组织(IMO)国际海运固体散货规则(IMSBC Code)要求的特种镍矿运输船。2012年10月22日，日本船级社发证委员会在月例会上宣布了该轮的入级登记。
