We would like to remind our clients that the Japanese government have amended the law governing the Limit of Marine Liability. The minimum limit of the liability will be increased by 1.51 times the present level as of 8th June 2015. Vessels must meet this requirement to enter Japan ports.

In order to ensure current coverage of insurance expiring after 8th,June,2015, remains in full force for vessels trading to Japan, we will liaise with the respective insurers to amend the limit of liability, if so required.

日本国土交通省海事局责任限额新要求

我司提醒客户注意，日本修改有关海事责任限额的规定。截止2015年6月8日，最低海事赔偿责任限额会在目前的基础上提高1.51倍。届时，船舶如不符合该要求，将不能挂靠日本港口。

为确保2015年6月8日以后到期的现有保单能有效保障船舶前往日本的航次，我司会在必要时与相关保险人联系，修改责任限额。
