New draft restrictions for Panama Canal will be effective from 8 September 2015.

The maximum permitted transit draft for the Panama Canal is set to 11.89 meters (39.0 feet) Tropical Fresh Water (TFW).

Vessels loaded prior 11 August 2015 may be allowed to transit with a TFW draft of up to 12.04 meters (39.5 feet), subject to safety considerations. Vessels loaded on or after 11 August 2015, must comply with the new restriction and may be required to trim or offload cargo, depending on the actual level of Gatun Lake at the time of the transit. If the lake level allows the transit of vessels at a draft deeper than announced, they will be allowed to transit despite not complying with the loading deadline.

巴拿马运河新吃水线

自2015年9月8日起巴拿马运河将开始实施新吃水线。

巴拿马运河允许通过的最大吃水为热带淡水11.89米(39.0英尺)。

2015年8月11日前装船的船舶，如安全考虑许可，在吃水不超过热带淡水12.04米(39.5英尺)时可允许通过。2015年8月11日当天或之后装船的船舶须遵守新吃水线规定，并视过河时加通湖的实际水位调整或卸除货物。当加通湖水位允许船舶在大于规定水位线的情况下过河，则不管是否符合前述装船期限的规定，均可通过。
