The Association is currently dealing with a case that involves liquefaction of nickel ore from Surigao, Philippines.
The rainy season in Philippines officially started on 23 June this year. The heavy rains combined with the strong winds and rough seas experienced in South China Sea lately bring forward, once again, concerns about cargo liquefaction. Since the entry into force of the IMSBC Code Amendment 02-13, nickel ore is already classed as Group A cargo. All shippers should provide Transportable Moisture Limit (TML) and Moisture Content (MC) Certificates for all cargoes of nickel ore.

协会目前正在处理一起菲律宾苏里高镍矿液化事故。
今年菲律宾从6月23日起开始进入雨季。近日,中国南海已出现狂风暴雨天气,海上风大浪急,货物液化问题再次引发关注。在IMSBC准则02-13号修正案中,镍矿被划归A类货物,因此托运人应就所有镍矿货物提供适运性水分限量以及水分含量证书。
