Customs declaration

Customs officials at Russian Black Sea ports continue to maintain a vigilant check on medicines carried on board inbound vessels. Even if an examination of the ship’s medical locker shows everything to be in order, penalties may be imposed if expired medicines, kept separately from the ship’s other medical supplies, are not noted on the customs declaration. In some cases, the matter may be referred for criminal prosecution.
