The port of Fujairah has issued notices detailing the requirements for safety inspections prior to STS operations.
Notice to mariners number NTM 231 and notice to agents NTA 33/2017 clarify the requirement for certain vessels to pass a safety inspection by the Port Authority prior to the operation commencing.
Tankers that have undergone a safety inspection within the last 6 months by an oil major, or a SIRE inspection with satisfactory results could be exempt from such inspections. However it should be noted that the Harbour Master has full authority to appoint an independent surveyor to conduct these safety inspections on any vessel.

富查伊拉过驳安全检验要求
富查伊拉港已发布有关过驳作业前安全检验要求的具体通知。
第NTM 231号通知和第NTA33/2017号通知告知船上人员和代理人，一些船舶在开始作业前需通过港口当局安全检验的要求。
就油轮而言，最近6个月内接受过大油商的安全检验或SIRE检验，并且结果良好，可豁免该检验。但请注意，港务长可全权指派独立检验员对任何船舶进行安全检验。
