在任何辖区仲裁费用都可能会非常昂贵。因此，仲裁中的小额索赔程序(以下简称“SCP”)是节省费用且避免案件拖延的理想方式。但主要问题是，伦敦海事仲裁员协会小额索赔程序仅限于5万美金的索赔。超出5万美金的索赔必须转至LMAA通常程序。
我司是LMAA远东委员会成员，并为LMAA仲裁规则的变化/修订/指引提出建议。我司代表对LMAA规则中的内容，包括小额索赔程序(SCP)，提交了诸多有利于远东地区客户的修改意见。因我司上海办公室对抗辩险(FDD)争议处理的影响力日益提高，2016年9月，LMAA伦敦主席拜访我司上海办公室。

New LMAA Rules pursuant Small Claims Procedure
Arbitration can be very costly in any jurisdiction. Therefore, Small Claims Procedure (hereinafter ‘SCP’) in the arbitration is ideal to save costs and delay. However, the major issue was that in LMAA SCP procedure was limited only to USD 50,000. Any other claim above USD 50,000 had to go over to normal LMAA procedures.
Andrew Liu Company is the member of LMAA Far East Committee that brings about changes/ amendments/guidance notes to the LMAA arbitration rules. The representative of Andrew Liu had submitted a lot of amendments in content of LMAA rules, including SCP, to benefit the clients that are located in Far East. The President of LMAA based in London even visited the Shanghai office of Andrew Liu in September 2016 due to ALCO’s Shanghai office growing importance in dealing with the FDD disputes.
