Hatch Covers: Preventing Wet Damage
One of the common problems during cargo transport is wet damage. Seawater may ingress into cargo holds in bad condition and cause serious damage.
The Swedish Club Loss Prevention team has published a casebook, where one of the sections highlights the importance of securing hatch covers and checking that they are in good condition.
