历经4年时间的磋商，并经过国际海事委员会国际工作组广泛审查后，于今年5月初的国际海事委员会纽约大会上通过了《2016年约克-安特卫普规则》。

《2016年约克-安特卫普规则》的通过，结束了自2004版规则通过后的12年间船东和海事保险人面临的不确定性。2004版规则不利于船东，相较于完善且易理解的1994版规则很少被使用。

General Average – “York Antwerp Rules (YAR) 2016” adopted by the Comité Maritime International (CMI)

Following four years of consultation and an extensive review by a CMI International Working Group (“IWG”), the YAR 2016 were adopted by the CMI Assembly at its conference in New York in early May.

The adoption of the YAR 2016 brings to an end 12 years of uncertainty, for shipowners and Marine insurers, which followed the adoption of the YAR 2004, which did not have the support of shipowners, and which were very rarely used in preference to the well-established and well understood YAR 1994.
